Three-day weekend? Yes, please.
Do I have big plans? Nope.
And honestly, I’m completely okay with that.
My Labor Day weekend plans consist of reading, walking, relaxing, and probably doing a whole lot of absolutely nothing. Basically, my kind of weekend.
I stopped at the library today and picked up Mercy by David Baldacci. I started it, and…yep. He’s done it again. As usual, he doesn’t disappoint. I’m already hooked!
Apparently, Mercy is part of his Atlee Pine thriller series. Thankfully, you don’t have to read them in order, which is good because apparently I just walked into the middle of the party.
BUT…
I prefer to read series in order. Because why read one book when you can suddenly convince yourself that you now have to read four more books first before you’re allowed to continue the one you actually started? So, once I finish Mercy, I’m pretty sure I’ll be going back to the beginning of the Atlee Pine series.
Because clearly my TBR pile wasn’t already large enough.
Anyway, I’m settling in for a quiet weekend with a good book and no major plans—and I’m looking forward to every minute of it.
Whatcha all doing this weekend? Big plans? Relaxing plans? Avoiding people plans?
And most importantly…
Are you reading anything good right now?
Give me your recommendations. My TBR list clearly needs more books. Said no reader ever.
Oh, and I suppose I should probably do some writing this weekend, too. You know…since I’m an author and all.
I have a feeling my characters are going to be sitting around tapping their toes, wondering when the heck I’m coming back to them.
Fine, fine. I’ll write.
